While jogging yesterday, my decision to go to Hawaii came with three little words (thanks to Nike): JUST DO IT!!!!

So this morning, I sent in my application (via Internet). Cost is $259 for food and lodging (my tent!). At last check, air fare was $1001. Not too bad. I have to be confirmed before I make flight reservations. The trip isn't 'til March, so I have plenty of time, although I'm required to have this done two months prior.

I know this is going to wreck havoc with my blood pressure, but I'll get over it, unless it kills me. I'm going to try my best not to worry or fret the next 5 months!

Final tab from my voters: 5 yea, 2 nay, 3 both, 1 neither (Jondude had an alternative--Big Sur CA). Eventually, I'll do all three. Plus a Greek island. Thanks all for your input.

I love my home and enjoy living here, but sometimes, I just have to get away. I have this "wanderlust" (my Masters degree was geography) that needs to be fulfilled. If not now, never.
