It seems I've been posting more blogs about myself than usual (and for that, I'm sorry), but there's much to write about.
For example, I must inform you all that I'll be away from the computer for several days (4) to help my sister make the move from Virginia to my house in Indiana. Reminds me of two song titles: "Carry Me Back to Ol' Virginia" and "Back Home Again in Indiana".
Sister Barbara has been here all week. Tomorrow (Mon), we'll drive my truck to the Shenandoah Valley. She'll sign closing papers on her house Tues. We'll pack up everything she isn't selling (except a 9' Baldwin grand piano--are you interested Harriet/Teal?!), and return by Wed. night, if things go as planned. Most of her belongings are being auctioned off Saturday. I don't blame her for not wanting to be there at the auction. It's gutsy to rid onesself of virtually all ones' belongings. She appears to have no qualms about it.
While here this week, Barbara has already cleaned and rearranged my whole kitchen. Much is either being tossed or taken to Goodwill. It's tough to see them (dishes, pots, towels, etc., etc.), go. But, I'm trying to make her transistion go smoothly. Moving into someone else's house isn't easy. She's got her bedroom fixed up already. Living room curtains have been taken down. It's just the beginning, I'm sure! It's okay, I keep telling myself.
There's more to tell, but you get the gist. See you later this week.
