Did anybody see the President speak at the White House Correspondent's Dinner last night (Sat.)? He was hilarious! His audience loved him. Jay Leno, on the other hand, was a dud. His jokes fell flat.
Obama is visiting the Gulf Coast today to inspect the oil leak. I can't believe people are blaming him for the spill. He may have to rescind his order to increase off-shore drilling. Until now, America had forgotten how dangerous this can be. Remember Santa Barbara?
Speaking of politics, our Primary is a couple of days away. The TV is full of ads hyping candidates that are "anti-big government spending", i.e., health care, taxes, etc. They're big on "family (Hoosier) values". One lady in today's newspaper said she votes only for pro-life politicians. She doesn't care what else they stand for. Pretty sad.
I mentioned in a previous post that the Greenwood (IN) H.S. valedictorian went to court to prevent a student led prayer being permitted at graduation. Well, the judge agreed! Another victory for the First Amendment. Thank you ACLU. No appeal will be made--unlike the appeals made against the ruling stopping the "National Day of Prayer".

My daughter and SIL had a good first day selling produce at the Farmers Market (Laf. IN). They didn't have much--rhubarb, spinach, lettuce, old onions, etc., but said they were busy. Sister Barb and I went to their farm Friday to help and to see their baby. He's beginning to crawl. Barb is back to staying with me now. I think Dad kicked her out! He liked his two weeks of "freedom"!
I'm now off to clean the Lions Club ice cream machine and trailer. We had our first day yesterday selling. 26 venues coming up this summer! Whew!
Have a good Sunday and rest of the week.
