I just came in from outside, turned on the Cubs game, and laughed out loud when I saw the score was 13 to 1. I'm just glad I didn't watch any of the slaughter. I've written them off already, and it isn't even May.

My daughter from Honduras spent a couple of days with me, as she is "home" for several weeks taking "continuing education classes for her optometry license renewal. She's been negligent in keeping up over the past 10 years. We had some good talks about everything--everything but her husband. I didn't want to open a can of worms.

My sisters returned intact from their trip to Virginia (a son and site-seeing to Williamsburg, Monticello, etc.). I got a trip summary from one sister's perspective, and will await the other's, before I pass judgment. Let's put it this way: they ARE different.

Like I've said before, our father was glad for the 12 days of solitude. And he's walking better, his appetite is good, and his attitude has improved. I don't know if this is due to his daughter's being gone or not.

I continue to be busy (hence, not reading your posts). It's supposed to rain Sat., so perhaps I can catch up with you all.
