Well, the remnants of Hurricane Isaac across Indiana are gone. And, as usual, the weathermen blew it.
Predicted rainfall amounts were 6-9" (then down to 3-4"). My yard received 1.1", all in one brief downpour. Predicted winds of 40 mph turned out to be no more than 10.
Many weekend events were canceled because of the forecasts. They should have consulted me. I knew. Call it intuition plus some barometer observations, but I called it.

Today is Labor Day, a rather odd holiday, in my opinion. To honor those that work? Isn't that like patting ourselves on the back? Maybe we should have an "Eating Food Day". Oh, never mind--I guess we already have Thanksgiving.
One more thing: I miss the annual Jerry Lewis MD telethon! Not that I ever watched it--just tradition.
