People wonder why I exercise so much. The bottom line is because I love desserts! I have the sweetest tooth in the Midwest.
I'm a third of the way through a blueberry cheesecake (no bake) I made a couple of days ago. It is soooo sweet, but soooo good! I've rationalized its ingredients by knowing that blueberries are good for you. Plus I made my own concoction of "whipped cream" by using vanilla yogurt. We won't talk about the amount of powdered sugar I used.
Before the cheesecake, I made a pound cake with lemon drizzle frosting. And before that, a fudge brownie "cake" with walnuts and dark chocolate, which is supposedly good for you. More rationalization.
And in case you think I have a penchant for cakes, the dessert that preceded the three mentioned was a strawberry rhubarb pie. Again, strawberries are full of antioxidants! That's as far back as I can remember on desserts.
It's little wonder my cholesterol LDLs are as high as they are. At least I'm not eating dough-nuts which have no nutritional value! Ok, gotta go for a jog....
