(Jackie Gleason) You've heard about being "a day late and a dollar short"? Well, I'm going to be a day early--still a dollar short.

Our (sis, too) two week stay in a Mexico Beach Florida rental home begins Saturday (1/30) after 3PM. We were going to drive down starting on Friday. BUT, it appears an ugly ice storm is sandwiching its way between rain and snow right in our path down Interstate 65. We're going to try to beat it by leaving a day early.

It's no big deal. We just had to do our chores all in one day--today (Wed.). I hate this part of a "vacation". What to pack. What to leave. What to prepare the house for. I try not to worry about leaving the house, but I do. There are neighbors and relatives keeping an eye out (plus the sheriff), but they can't watch it 24/7, and I've been broken into before.

Anyway, I'll be away from the computer (no laptop) until Feb. 14th, so don't dismay over my absense from MyBloggers. If I find a library, I'll check in with you all. In the meantime, wish us well and cross your fingers for good weather. We're just going to goof off the whole time. Later....
