Hitting the Wall

So I blogged about "hitting the wall" this morning to share my whole training experience for my charity 10K. It's been tough learning how to run. Funny, you'd think running would be a human instinct.

I think by now, y'all know that I'm crazy in the head.

I am trying to rest between runs... but this word hasn't really been in my vocabulary for more than a year now. Neither have the words "Give Up". So hitting the wall this morning was super frustrating and weeping because of it let out so much pent up stress that it was really good for my soul.

I promise to put my long term health first - my goal has always been to be the healthiest and happiest me.

But my newest goal is to finish this 10K, and if that means that I'll have to walk/run it, I will.

Thanks for your concern, I know, y'all have my back.

REMINDER: you're doing something that you NEVER would have thought you would be doing a year ago! I have not doubt you'll finish the other 5 miles! No doubt whatsoever!

it isnt a matter of HOW you finish, it is just that you finish. You aimed high....and you'll hit the mark. why aim low, hit your target and then be disappointed because you didnt go for more! you can do it. we definitely got your back....go girl go!!

We do have your back! Since there would be no way I could run beside or in front of you for any length of time!

Thanks, Kristy! I can run a mile no problem, it's the other five that I'm struggling with.

I do! I do! I still think you are doing amazing. I know you didn't do all you expected, but I still think it's amazing that you made the transition so (seemingly) easily... Running for me always seemed impossible. So just for that alone I think you are doing great!
