The World in Which We Live

So many questions
Not knowing where to begin
Questions about our lives
And this world we're living in.
The direction we are going
Lessons we need to learn
We took a turn to the left
When we should have made a right turn.
Disappearing species
One after another fall
When will we wake up
And answer the call.
To enjoy a beautiful day
The beauty of a blue sky
Replaced by hazy overcast
Enough to make you cry.
No longer able to raise crops
In the dusty barren ground
Searching for a sign
Where no life can be found.
Global warming
As preached by Al Gore
But the signs are there
To tragic to ignore.
We need to act
Or as we have feared
We will wake up and find
The human race has disappeared.

This one is quite relevant to our world today! The world needs to pay attention.

One of the many great things about being old most of the questions have been answered or you realize the questions and the answers aren't that important. It's the ones left behind that have to deal with our mistakes.
