I stepped out onto the front porch
Took a breath of the fall morning air
No deadlines, no place I had to be
So for awhile I stood there.
With my coffee in hand
Watching the steam waft toward the sky
I felt a sense of fulfillment
And it didn't matter how or why.
Life at that moment
All at once came to a standstill
A time that'll never come again
And not worrying that it will.
I watch the leaves tumble
Ever so lightly as they touch the ground
Enjoying the morning beauty
Reverently without a sound.
I feel the warmth of the sun
As it bathes my face
A moment here and now
My time and place.

I borrowed the image from Annie and her blog (At home on the ranch). She is a terrific writer and I would highly recommend you stop at her blog and give her a read!
