To me Pat Robertson is an idiot, and that's my bottom line opinion of him..it's obvious this man was either born stupid or acquired it as a gift later in life. You have this small impoverished country which is suffering probably the worst tragedy that it has ever faced, hundreds of thousands either killed or now homeless..no electricity, food or water. Then you have this pompus Billy Graham wannabe telling these people that this is your punishment for your religious beliefs,or lack of thereof. I can't figure out whether Pat Robertson is just plain stupid or if he that hard up to keep his name in the limlight. Now is not the time for finger pointing, it's a time to give assistance, and comfort. I have my religious convictions, I am not a regular attender of church but I do believe in God..and as Forest Gump would say, "That's all I have to say about that". People like Pat Robertson are dangerous, because there are people that listen to his message..and take it as the gospel truth. I am of the mind that everyone is entitled to their opinion, I have always been a firm believer where that is concerned..but I also have the right to disaggree with that person and offer my rebuttal. But it seems like in every other tragedy that has occured on this planet, whether it be man-made, or natural some zealot from the religious right tries to place the blame on a persons religious convictions. I believe it was Mahatma Gandhi that said "Hate the sin, love the sinner", so maybe before he spouts off again Robertson should take that little piece of advice to heart.
