A small town in northern New York
It's name is Upper Jay
Suffered a terrible flood
And nearly washed away the town library.
Books and furniture
Down the river were sent
And to replace them
There is little money to be spent.
The children's section
Took the greatest hit
And what is left
Is but a little bit.
The people of Upper Jay
Were left in sorrow
For the children today
And those of tomorrow.
Now this town
Is surely in need
New children's books
Would be welcomed indeed.
If you can help
It would be a welcome sight
It would help our children
Start off life right.
New children's books
Are a pressing need
If you could help
You'd be a hero indeed.

Also it would help if you could spread the word. I understand that there are places more in need of help, but this is a place that is near and dear to my heart and I would love to help them out anyway I can.
