The one store I love to go shopping at here is a place called the "Dollar Tree", where you can find everything is a dollar or less. It appeals to my frugal nature, which is one thing I inherited from my parents. On one of my more recent visits I purchased a book, it was a baseball themed book. The book is "Is this a Great Game or What?" It was written by Tim Kurkjian, who if you not familiar with is a analyst/reporter on ESPN's "Baseball Tonight". Is duties also include being a senior writer for ESPN magazine, and a columnist for ESPN.com. If you are a fan of baseball, be it serious or not you will want to read this book. Kurkjian shows us a side of baseball rarely seen by the fan, and gives us a fair and honest look at the players who make up this game we call "our national pastime". I am not great at evaluating writers, but I do know what I like to read..and this is a great baseball book. It shows us the human side to baseball, from the serious to the absurd. I do know that even if you only have a casual interest in baseball you will enjoy this book.
