Several kids are going without dates, so she will have a good time. I am glad she is doing this. At first she said she would not. Maybe some other guy will take an interest in her, and she will see there are lots of guys out there. She is cute enough she won't have any trouble finding another boyfriend and let's hope he doesn't have a fanatical mother when she does.
Holly has to go back to New Zealand next week. She will be gone about seven days. This will be either her third or fourth trip. I really have lost count. She travels so much it is hard for me to keep up sometimes. It seems she is rarely in the office anymore.
It's one of the reasons Bevan quit his job. Someone has to be available to drop the girls off and pick them up, either from school or from one of their myriad activities. Bailey has a meeting tonight about her school mission trip to LA, Kenzie has to be at school tomorrow morning at 7 for honor choir.
I remember how thankful I was when Kenna finally got her driver's license and could take Holly and herself to their activities.
Holly and Bevan have already bought Bailey a little Mini-Cooper as she will soon be getting her permit and learning to drive. It is red and white, of course. Holly refuses to buy a car that is not at least one of OU's colors. This one happens to be both.
Biggest game of the year this weekend for OU....it's the annual Red River Shootout with Texas, always played at the Cotton Bowl, located on the Texas fairgrounds. and always played the second Saturday of October, right in the middle of the Texas State Fair. It's an unbelievable atmosphere for a football game.
Holly and Bevan, as OU donors, have tickets. Not an easy ticket to get unless one donotes money to the University.
Of course, we Sooner fans need to remind ourselves that beating Texas on Saturday isn't the most important thing....it's the ONLY thing. Let's send that ugly longhorn Bevo straight to the slaughterhouse. After all, the only good Texas longhorn is a dead longhorn!!
