Tastes of Heaven

Homemade by Nan

Yesterday afternoon I was inspired to make something else for dinner other then cheese sandwiches and toast. Just Kidding! So i took out the pot, boiled pasta noodles and threw together this lovely dish. Goat Cheese Pasta with Pesto Basil Dressing.

Isn't that tempting?

Since i love you all dearly, maybe you would like the recipe?

It's not a professional recipe, just the ingredients. You can add as much or little as you like.

Basil Pesto. i made mine from a packet which has still the yummy flavor or regular pesto, but low in calories, and no fat.

Whole grain Pasta Noodles No macaroni noodles, something fancy and elegant.

Cherry tomatoes. We get ours out of the garden, so it's fresh and organic.

Goat cheese. Yum, the creamiest cheese ever you can find at almost every grocery store.

Chicken which is optional for more flavor and protein to even out the carbohydrates.

And fresh plucked basil on top. You can alway tear it up and mix it in for intense flavor to your spoiled taste buds. You can find basil at the store also, moist and packaged.

Not only is this healthy and nutritious, you are treating your taste buds to a really easy and fast recipe that will please anyone! :)

Then for dessert my older sister made a Peach Cobbler. She is such an amazing baker! The Cobbler was so yummy.

I am so craving some fish tacos right now. They just sound so yummy with the creamy sauce and fresh cabbage! Too bad we aren't having that for dinner! :(

Thanks for the recipe. It's a keeper, and I've put those ingredients on my shopping list.

Very impressive! I think even I could cook this up. And I grow my own basil and cherry tomatoes. Coincidentally, I just made a peach "crumble" yest. (my peaches). Quite good with ice cream!

oh my goodness that sounds DELISH!!! Where do you find the packets of pesto? What are they called? I love pesto but avoid it due to fat and calories so I am very curious!!!

The packets of pesto are found at any specialty food store like Whole Foods, Metro Market, or Sendiks. I'm not sure if you have any of those stores in your neighborhood, but they aren't too difficult to find. You can always make your own pesto too - toss in the ingredients into a blender and ....PESTO! I make a killer frozen pee and garlic pesto.
