Sunday Meeting with Catdancer

Sometimes you get wonderful surprises and life just gives you an extra bit of sunshine.  That is what happened yesterday afternoon here in the quite mountains of North Georgia.
Catdancer left me an e-mail saying she might just be traveling through Chattanooga and would I be up to a meeting if possible. WHAT??? How could I say no?!  I was giddy with excitement over the prospect of meeting this wonderful lady whom I've only known via the blog world.
We made the connections and she crossed over the Georgia state line and got out of Tennessee just as planned.  Following my exact directions and with more luck than I could have wished for...she and I met!
We chatted and hugged (yes Jondude, she got a good ole Dawg hug!) and chatted some more. Then we came to our senses and stepped inside the store where it was warm.  She seemed surprised that no one cared that we didn't buy a thing...just propped up on the Coke display and talked some more.  Well Hell's Bells...that is just a Georgia friendly thing.  If her Mom had not been there I'm sure someone would have hollered out "How's ya Mama?"  It is just a Southern thing.
I met her and her Mom and the cat.  What a wonderful trio traveling south in the little HHR. She isn't kidding when she says it was packed to the brim.  The cat seemed to have the most room in his cage.  He is beautiful!
I stopped by the winery (yep, it's really wine and not moonshine!) and picked up a bottle that is appropriately called "Scarlett".  I debated between this and two others: Georgia on Your Mind and the Georgia Bulldawg Red.  Yes, those are truly names of wines made right here in the hills of North Georgia.
I felt as if we had been friends for years.  What a lovely thing to meet this sweet lady and get to know her by face and voice (she does talk funny though. Sorta like a Yankee).
I wish each of you could have been there. We would have filled that store to capacity and had a good old Southern Hoe-Down! Popped open the wine and grabbed a few saltine crackers and let it all hang loose. Well...except for ole Grumpy. He seems to have dropped off the face of the earth and cannot be found with a search warrent.
Thanks, Catdancer, for a lovely but all too short time together.  Looking forward to March when you will make the reverse trip.
The Catdancer and the Georgia Dawg doing a little happy dance!

Mz Scarlett...the lady, not the wine. Feeling special, feeling fine!
