Too Old to Blog?

Too Old To Blog?

So I am just waking up, listening to Neal Boortz and writing this blog. I wanted to write this blog yesterday but find often times I am to overwhelmed to get to everything. In fact I will probably have to write this in between writing other blogs because I do nto have time slated for my personal blogs!

I feel I must take some responsibility for Elkhound’s blog because I was telling her about the types of blogs I read when I joined Blogster. You see when I first began blogging other than on sites I own but blogging communities I read blogs that were interesting to me. This is not to say that her blogs were not interesting to me or anyone else’s for that matter but my interests seem to be

• Politics
• Religion
• Sex
• Books
• Web Design
• Graphics Design
• SEO
• Marketing
• Social Issues
• Spreading Urban Legends as Fact
• Hating Haters

So I visited blogs about these things admittedly a lot of them were not available and still are not at most of the blogging communities I belong too.

I did not visit the ones where people wrote about their daily activities, how their kids were, what they ate that day, crafting groups(the knitters), the Christian folks so long as they were minding their own business(not spreading hate). These were just not what I was interested in and still am not but just because It is not my thing does not mean it cannot or is not someone else’s.

The proof is in the pudding. Look at you Elkhound, way up there on the on the most popular list everyday. There are defiantly people interested in all of these things or their would not be any comment son your blog. Heck if talking about house cleaning were not popular to talk about I hardly think the fly lady would exist check her out, I use her and love her!https://www.flylady.net/

Let me add though while I may not have been interested in your blog back in the day when you take a personal interest in someone then everything you once found boring you find an interest in because you care about the person which is why I enjoy your blog not to mention over the last year or so I have found we do have many interests in common.

You can even get into the debates I enjoy and still be fair and kind!

Same goes for you Fredo. Sometimes you have those “What I did today” blogs but they are interesting to me because you are interesting to me and you come off with some really cool blogs besides that. I do not think age has anything to do with it because look at Martin! I was shocked when I found out he is 72! Woot! I certainly do not see either of you writing about Geritol and strained carrots! However I will be there for you when you do , lol! 72 have you got a look at him? How old are you because you are looking damn good too.

Martin is a poster boy for the gay community and unhealthy living lol!

I love you guys and NO, you are not boring!

I do have to add though if you are elderly or other wise weakened somehow and blogging causes you severe emotional pain that can effect your health perhaps then you should not blog because words should not be able to cause physical upset but if you allow them they can,

Blogging bridges the gap of age, race, color creed and socio-economic status. Blogging Rocks!

Take it from me that being old is a state of mind. Some women choose to look like their grandmothers did and others are trendy. Fredo and Great Martin are cool and their blogs are great.

I think that's what's so interesting about blogging you get to read about other people's lives and how they view life. Great Blog

Certainly not negating your compliment but what does 72 look like??? Living among many seniors I could line up 5 guys who are 72 and none look alike!! What I Love is that when I was younger I looked older (I was able to drink in bars at 15, go to the baths when a teenager) which always allowed me to hang with the 'older' guys) and now that I am older I look younger--LOVE IT!!!

Great Article! Age is certainly just a number and everyone has different interests and changes takes place all along the path of our lives. Nothing stays the same. It's great to be able to share with many people from many facets of life and age is out of the question. We all have so much to offer each other.

Fredo is quite open about his LONG relationship with Mike and has spoken about it many times including their relationship with his daughters.

Variety is the spice of life. I enjoy all the personalities and the mixture of politics, religion, daily life, and humor. You get an opportunity to meet people, share experiences, and offer broad shoulders, sometimes. Blogging does rock!

Alfredo is the old man of blogs--I'm a kid compared to him--he is my role model (except for having a partner) for when I grow old!!!
It's funny--I like to read the blog of younger people like Matt, a whipper smart 18 year old, AJ, Dale, James, you, etc. and try to think back if I thought that way when I was your age.
No, I'm not interested in what floor was waxed today but I find elkhound's blogs about Kota touching, amusing and interesting--I'm not really into politics but I have learned a lot from James and Vladimir 9who seems to have disappeared!!)--and, of course, I'm interested in sex--have no need for viagra yet!

I know exactly what you mean. I read all sorts of blogs every day, mine is so humdrum. I just took the word "blog" for what it meant, "an online diary" and that's what I do. I'm interested in all sorts of blogs, including yours. Fun to have variety!

The nice thing about blogging is that we become friends with people who might never be our friends if we were living side-by-side. Lifestyles, religious preferences, educational levels, ages, all become moot points. Instead, we have an opportunity to look beyond those things in people's posts to gain some insight into how they really are.

thanks holly! I do get surprised when I see I am the top of the popular blogs. I don't think that Martin or Fredo act 'old' that is why they are so interesting. they are living life to the fullest and that inspires me. so I will continue writing about cleaning, my crazy kid and all the animals I live with.
