I checked. So cute! And how nice of her to write such a sweet note! I still have all the hand made sweaters that my husband's aunt made for each of my babies.
Wow! That's pretty scary!
When I lived in my other town we, too would knit hats and scarves for the needy, along with providing other things. Great job!
Great pics! I hope you pulled over first!
As a Mormon Democrat, I'm not expecting to be shooed away, but as a west coaster I'm not sure it's worth my time. The outcome is usually decided before I get there.
Very cute!
I am so sorry about what happened. I know first hand how devastating this can be. If you read about the Sandusky trial, you will see that denial and reverse accusations is typical of molesters. Dakota is very fortunate that he could come to you and be taken seriously. Having a good counselor will help as well. My heart goes out to you all!
Thanks for the recommendations! Nothing like a good book to take you away for awhile.
My birthday and anniversary are both in the 8th month. I guess that makes me lucky! I was a C-section, probably taken a week before my due date. Our marriage was originally going to take place in July but we reset the date, not knowing the auspiciousness of the number 8.
I've bought two books on Feng shui, when I moved into this house. It also deals with numbers and auspicious symbols. I learned that bringing good luck into your life and home is practically a science, and is a highly specialized career for some cultures. When I realized all the ifs, ands, and buts involved, I dropped it altogether. I'm much happier!
He's so beautiful!
I haven't watched that show but I've seen it listed and will be sure to tune in. So far, the wedding hasn't seemed quite real, since she's so far away, and the date is set for two years in advance. This dress shopping phone call has helped me realize I need to get on the ball!
Years ago, I remember feeling almost sick about an $80 phone bill that I'd racked up. I'd splurged and had a long conversation with a very good friend. We now have a package that includes phone, TV, internet, and unlimited long distance. It's just part of our monthly expenses, but it's more than $80!
We have a split personality in the health food dept. I'll make saute kale, snow peas, and other vegetables in peanut oil and put it on a bed of quinoa, followed by a store bought desert of banana cream cake! It's my version of a 'balanced diet'.
Putting summer away is always bittersweet. Thank goodness for colorful leaves! I'm dreading winter. We still don't have our heat situation worked out.
My specialty is untangling necklaces, although, nobody has ever paid me to do that.
