My mom lived for 15 years after being diagnosed with Alzheimer's. She, too, had been a nurse. Her memory and mental capabilities slipped quietly away but her heart, her personality, her sweetness and compassion stayed with her to the end. I know it's not like that for every one. I hope you are as blessed in your journey with it as we have been.
If the spa is open on Thanksgiving day, I'd totally go there! Pick up a dinner to go and a bunch of good movies and enjoy the peace and quiet! You deserve it!

How sweet! My kitty is always on my lap when it's cold. If I have to leave to get something done I usually cover her like that so she'll stay sleeping instead of being under foot. Your kitty is pretty smart to do that for herself!
