My favorite thrift store, St Vincent DePaul's closed because of Catholic budget cuts. I was told by the manager that it was to pay off the many law suits associated with the sexual abuse that went on. Even as a young person, I was puzzled and suspicious of the church's conspicuous wealth, while it's people slaved and sacrificed.
That's so sad that Tom died. As for writing to everyone you knew, sometimes you have to reach out and ask. After all, you had been there for others in their time of need.
How nice that you welcome these young girls into your home, and appreciate their unique qualities. I admit to wearing dresses without stockings. Part of that was spending many years with practically NO money. Part of it was that being overweight made it hard to find any that fit right, even in the queen sizes. knee-highs never came up to my knee, or even close.

Cute pup! Though he looks pretty big! I'm glad you plan on sitting back and enjoying your baby shower. It's your turn! Besides, they are usually more fun than you expect them to be. Eventually you will 'drop', and your ribs will get some welcomed relief.
That happened to me awhile ago. Couldn't post for about a week. Decided to join another blogging site, one where I used to post regularly. When I was 'between homes' I was blogging at different locations like McDonalds and such, which caused a problem, so I was kind of forced to quit for a while. Hope you can get it worked out.
