I am thankful my three very rarely get on the dining tables. My earlier two, now in Kitty Heaven, loved roast beef and lamb, but they were such gentlemen about it. They would go into the dining area and sit on the extra chairs in Egyptian cat poses, and wait respectfully till we sat down. Ed would cut a little meat off and put it in two dishes and give it to them on the floor and they would jump down and chomp away. They didn't disturb any food on the table. How adorable is that?

That really is cute. Every cat seems to have a different attitude towards people food. Buddy loved Cheerios and milk and we had to watch him every morning or he'd get right into the cereal bowls, but he wasn't interested in anything else we ate.

This is very good. First, I got to cry at blogsterella's Marine story, and now I get to laugh at cats. Those ones all on the counter do look like they're conspiring.

It sure is. I miss the cats in the past who would sit up on the counter well away from the food prep activities and keep me company while I cooked.

Our dearly departed cat Buddy thought he needed to help eat breakfast cereal. Every morning was a battle. Turn your back, and he was up on the table trying to get at the Cheerios. Milk made him immediately sick, but he always forgot.
