when our neighbour finds out we're not paying her any more for the fence. DH told me that last week her husband told him we owed $303.00 for the fence and she said no we only owed them $301.00. DH rounded it up and gave them a cheque for $310.00. Now she's back saying she made a mistake and we actually owed $325.00 plus $18.00 for a bracket to steady her rickety fence. DH figures if she wasn't sure of the amout she shouldn't have come over demanding a cheque and that he has already paid the $18.00 in stain when she told him to stain the wrong fence panels.
The first summer after they moved in I invited her over for coffee several times. She always declined and eventually told me that when people get to know her they don't like her very much. Do you think she has ever wondered why? If she ever asks me, I can tell her.
