Thank God! The dog neighbour hasn't said boo to me since we got back. Today she's having a tree cut down. Needless to say, she's not using those messy fellows who cut down our tree and left sawdust all over her yard. Looks to me like she's using a couple of out of work loggers with a pick up truck. I wasn't the least bit surprised to see she has drop cloths spread out around the tree. I sure hope those poor guys are insured. I can just see her when she gets the bill. "Well I'm not paying that. I'm deducting $14.78 for the hole you put in my tarp and $52.41 for bending a branch on my bush and $2.37 for....."
From my vantage point I could see her husband's head bobbing up and down as he diligently struggled to dig out a small tree he had just planted last year. As the tree is lifted from the ground I hear her screeching, "Not that one! The apple tree!" Poor guy. Every time I see him I want to bake him some cookies to cheer him up.
