I Can't Avoid the Obvious Anymore!

All week I've been sceptacle about a growing redness on one of the wonds on my leg. We even took the dressing off thinking it would heal quicker. I got to the point of tears last night, the pain was too much and have accepted an infection may have settled in to the war wounds. I've phoned the GP and am going into hospital to get it looked at this afternoon. Oh the joys!

Update: It's never what you expect with hospitals is it! I figured they'd just put me on anti-biotcs and send me on my way, but 'No! I had to have the break down of what to expect over the next 24 hours. Oh Man! I'm not kidding either. I'm a bit shell shcked to be honnest. They said there is an infection in the knee and imediately put me on 625mg anti-bi's, anti-inflamatorys and more pain-killers. They said they expect the wounds inside and out to open within the next 24 hours if the anti-bi's don't kick in and I'll have to go and have the knee draind and be re-stiched! I can't believe it!!! There is a good silver lining to this grey cloud, I'm on the sick from those horid people in *Physio* on Monday. I've been told to keep the knee straight until I'm better. I have to report back tomorrow :( I hope the meds kick in. I don't fancy being re-stitched.

Here's wishing you a speedy recovery. One can't survive without a good kicking leg! Rest up.

Haha *One can't survive without a good kicking leg* your not wrong there LOL I'm going better. I thought physio might have been kinder to me though and leave me alone for another week, but they insisted I go in on Thursday! They have no mercy ha!

I don't know to be honnest with you. I was talking to my mom today, like I said to her, my leg hasn't felt better since i've been taking these tablets, so it maybe I contracted the infection from the hospital.

Oh my goodness! I hope they do, kick in! In the meantime, do as they have told you.
Will you still have to attend the physio on Monday or, does it depend on the visit tomorrow?

Why am I in italic?
