Coming of Age!

My oldest son turns 18 tomorrow. He's accomplished so much in his childhood years that when I look back over the years, I'm not surprised how fast the time has gone by given the scope of his interests. He's a 1st Dan Black belt in Traditional Karate, he's won the European, British, and Welsh Championships several times over. He's traveled all over Europe. He's trained with the British Army and has received his three feathers award. He's been on courses with the Royal Marines and the Welsh Guards and is currently waiting to get in the British Army.

That's not a bad reseme to enter his adult years even if I do say so myself, I watched him work so hard for what he believes in and he never quit anything. Through the toughest times where he had to fight meningitis, which to this day still haunts him, he continues to stay on the positive side of life - fights it all the way. He'll always be my baby and will always be my inspiration. I'm so proud of him. I wish him all the greatest, loveliest things for his future ahead of him. He's my boy! <3 <3 <3

Something to celebrate, for sure! Sounds like he'll go far in this world. Wish I could have said the same thing about my own son at 18.

I have just been on redimpalas blog. It was about the 'date' . . . . . . .

Joss was 18 on : 1 - 11 - 11 . . . . !!!!!

Got to be a lucky omen

wow!I guess that is a very good resume there for Josh.
Now he can leave the nest and go on with life.
I remember the illness that he was fighting there.
He should be the High Five Person there.
Happy Birthday.Continued on with your life and wished you the best.
Keep in touch with us.

That illness has stopped my son's carer in it's tracks. We've been told 'Un-officially' that even if it's diagnosed as GS, he won't be accepted in the Army of T.A's.

Isn't he still the 'undisputed Irish Champion' as well? (I am in italic again)
We too are 'proud as punch' at his determination to get where he is after fighting his health issues - sheer positivity
(He still has got the 'most beautiful eyes in all the world')

I have posted an 18th Birthday post for him too - look at my 'profile' page as well (febreze's one)

Happy Birthday Joss
