You always have such great vacations. I always appreciate how you share them with us. it gives me a chance to see the world with you.

Alzheimers is a really challenging condition for the individual and his/her family.

I know what you mean about Facebook. That is one of the reason I stopped blogging for a while. I am trying to get back into the routine.
We surived Irene who seemed to fizzle after taking out the electricity of most of the state. About a 1/3 of the state is still out though. Apparently the feeder lines from out of state were overwhelmed when they took down the nuclear power plants up north, and it took out like 20 substations around the state.
We only lost two major limbs from one of our trees, but everything turned out great otherwise.

We just got power back ... most of RI seeme to lose power for along time because the feeder lines from out of state had issues and it blew out like 20 substations around the state.
We made out fine, though. Just two really big branches came down, but I cleaned that up yesterday afternoon.

That really is an amazing painting. I think a lot of people are like you in how they respond to loss. I know that I am not all that different. Work is a big outlet for me to hide away into.

I love Mike's new tattoo additions. It came out really great. Great color and good placement. We are gearing up for what might a direct hit down here in RI. I got to start prepping the new library I am working at to try and set up all the technology so it will be as safe as possible.

I know what you mean about prepping up for the approaching Irene. Everyone here in RI is in the same state of mind. They seem sort of iffy as to how bad things are going to be when she comes through because she is likely to weaken, but no one is really sure about how much she is going to weaken.
That sounds great about the thrift store bargain hunting, though.

I always look forward to reading this every year. In some ways, it helps us understand why these kids view the world so differently. Their experiences are a lot different.

This is an interesting problem. Some people would say that doing so might only make things worse.
It would probably how I handled the breakup with my first real boyfriend.

I am so sorry to hear about recent events. Sometimes it really can feel like life is doing everything it can to overwhelm you. That has sort of been what my life has felt like for the early part of this year. Thankfully, things seem to be turning around. Hopefully, that will be the case for you as well.
