Thursday night the water heater sprang a leak. That got fixed on Saturday. That was two major expenses in one month- $1,700 between the two.
Friday night, my PC died. I had to spend $140 to replace the monitor but that was not the only problem. The motherboard and graphics card also need to be replaced. Maybe that is my fault. I would turn on my PC and get a flicker of an image and then the black screen, and I thought it was the black screen problem I had experienced previously, so I shut down and restarted my PC so many times that I think I shorted out the mother board. Maybe. All I know is that my PC is dead. Well, I discovered that the monitor was bad too by hooking it up to my laptop, which is why I replaced it. Even with the new monitor, the PC does not turn on. The PC fixer-upper will be here later today. In the mean time, I am working off my laptop, which has the newest version of Windows- which MyBloggers is not compatible with.
Saturday night my sister's brother-in-law was killed in an auto accident. Frankie was only 20 years old and a sweet kid. I knew him. How very sad. His parents may or may not deal with it by saying "it was god's will", or "he is in a better place", and if that is what helps them cope with the grief, I will not deny them their consolation. I think it is a tragic, awful thing that defies all logic or reason. We cope however we can. Sometimes life is beautiful, and sometimes it hurts like hell.
Computer problems and home repairs are so truly annoying, and at this time for so many folks, the saving cushion is so stressed, or nonexistent, it is hard to find the funds to make the needed repairs and fixes. You, my friend, have has an avalanche of this lately. Enough!!
