Things Gotta Get Better ... .

Thursday night the water heater sprang a leak. That got fixed on Saturday. That was two major expenses in one month- $1,700 between the two.

Friday night, my PC died. I had to spend $140 to replace the monitor but that was not the only problem. The motherboard and graphics card also need to be replaced. Maybe that is my fault. I would turn on my PC and get a flicker of an image and then the black screen, and I thought it was the black screen problem I had experienced previously, so I shut down and restarted my PC so many times that I think I shorted out the mother board. Maybe. All I know is that my PC is dead. Well, I discovered that the monitor was bad too by hooking it up to my laptop, which is why I replaced it. Even with the new monitor, the PC does not turn on. The PC fixer-upper will be here later today. In the mean time, I am working off my laptop, which has the newest version of Windows- which MyBloggers is not compatible with.

Saturday night my sister's brother-in-law was killed in an auto accident. Frankie was only 20 years old and a sweet kid. I knew him. How very sad. His parents may or may not deal with it by saying "it was god's will", or "he is in a better place", and if that is what helps them cope with the grief, I will not deny them their consolation. I think it is a tragic, awful thing that defies all logic or reason. We cope however we can. Sometimes life is beautiful, and sometimes it hurts like hell.

Such sad, sorry news, and I send you my warm sympathies. Tragedies seem to come in droves. That has been true for me in the past months. Sending prayers to your sister and her family.

Computer problems and home repairs are so truly annoying, and at this time for so many folks, the saving cushion is so stressed, or nonexistent, it is hard to find the funds to make the needed repairs and fixes. You, my friend, have has an avalanche of this lately. Enough!!

Yes, I have had enough, and it is insane how happy I was last night after my PC was fixed. I can visit MyBloggers again without all of the overlapping screens and get back to work.

Best wishes for better times ahead. It's always a worry to have a computer go down like that, even if you have a laptop as a backup. So sorry about that young man.

I don't have the programs I need on my laptop so I am limited in what I can do. Glad it is fixed again, and I am back to using Firefox, which works better on MyBloggers.

Having to cope with all those things at once is horrible. Then scraping
up all that money, the time it takes and the grief that you feel. Things
should level off.

I'm afraid I did not do well coping with everything at once. I was a bit testy.

Too young. He was genuinely a sweet guy.

Dottie: I'm so sorry for the huge expense you have had. I know those kind of expenses have to really hurt. The death of the young man is terribly sad. I feel for his parents.

Me too. I know how difficult it is to cope with the loss of a child so my heart goes out to them.

Yes, and all at once. The stress made me a bit testy with others, but I am getting over it now.

I am so sorry to hear about recent events. Sometimes it really can feel like life is doing everything it can to overwhelm you. That has sort of been what my life has felt like for the early part of this year. Thankfully, things seem to be turning around. Hopefully, that will be the case for you as well. Sending love, support and good thoughts your way.
