The last couple of days have really been nice and relaxing. I took advantage of the snow day, and the two days in a row I had off to really not do anything. As you can see, I have been doing a lot of reading and spending some good time with the family (Ray, Belle, and Jolie). I think the only thing I did that would be considered work is join Ray on the grocery shopping jaunt, which we do every Friday.

To be honest, I really don't consider that to be work. I don't know why, but I have always thought about grocery shopping as being relaxing and easy. It is one of the chores I really don't mind. I think it is because it has a clear beginning and end with the shopping list. It also means just walking through the store to find everything.

In all honesty, I have not really gotten dressed up since Thursday morning. I just relaxed in layabout clothes, which has been really nice. Now, I just have a couple of days on (7.5 hours tomorrow and 4.5 on Sunday), and I am on vacation for a week. I guess I really can practice being totally lazy!

All-in-all, I would have to say that I am really enjoying the start of 2009.
