This weekend while R and I were on our Baltimore excursion he had mentioned someone he knew who's wife didn't change her last name because it was too much of a hassle. I have some friends who didn't change their last names too. I think it's kinda cool of them, and if I liked my last name I would keep mine original as well.
There are a few of you who actually know my last name, therefore know my plight. I have debated changing my last name for some time. One of my uncles DID change his family's last name to a more common last name (he kept the German roots though which was cool) and do you know why? Because he moved to the DC area and said [current last name] simply wouldn't do. I concur!!! I told R that I am going to change my last name next year to the same name my uncle changed his to, and I wouldn't be changing it again after that.
This is also semi interesting because I remember once R asked me if I got married if I would keep my last name. I said "Yes, I would keep mine" in jest, and he was like "Oh" then I was like "hello!!! Silly man, I would change my last name in a heartbeat!" haha He smiled.
I promised myself long ago that if I wasn't married by the time I was 35 I was changing my last name to make my life easier. And man oh man would it make my life easier. I have a last name that seriously can offend people. It's nuts.
In other news, I am missing working out. Strange hey? It certainly took long enough! But I do miss it. I also really want to revisit quitting smoking. It's so much harder to have an effective work out when your lungs are killing you. *sigh*
And all my pants are tight and I hate it. :0)
HAPPY TUESDAY!
