Halloween - What to Do?

So this weekend R and I will be among the craziness in DC. There is a Breast Cancer walk that we are doing for my friend C. She lost her mother to cancer on her birthday. How sad would that be??? So we are going to drop the dogs off at doggie day care in the morning and then go into the madness. It's going to be crazy in DC this weekend because there is the Rally to Restore Sanity and the March to Keep Fear alive going on as well, which we also want to participate in. Not to mention a marathon on Sunday has a lot of streets blocked off.... Should be interesting!

We are hoping to meet up with SB at some point on Saturday and then crash at her place after going out for a bit and having some drinks. Should be a good time!!!

Anywho, the debate comes down to Halloween itself. It's a friend of ours birthday and she is having a gathering not toooooo far away that we could go to. In the past we haven't had any trick or treaters so another option is to hand out candy... I think that might be fun to see all the little peeps in costume, it's been forever since I have seen any! So we just need to decide what to do. The area we are in has the option of putting something on our door - if we are participating - or not and people won't bother us. Kinda cool hey?

What to do what to do!

Mr. Tbend always acts like he hates handing out candy, then gets excited by all the costumes and the parents who dress up to take their kids around. My last job we always had a knock-down drag-out Halloween celebration with the various departments competing for prizes, and no work got done that day. I dressed up like Mimi from The Drew Carey Show.

I am looking forward to the little ones and scaring them with the green
hand that grabs them when they try to take candy. Ashley asked yesterday
if I was going to be a witch again.

That's very cool... R and I are newbies and don't have anything - even costumes!

Your weekend sounds a lot more interesting than mine!I miss handing out treats for Halloween because we don't get trick or treaters, either so that would be my vote.

yeah, that's what we've decided, although I will feel bad for missing the birthday festivities!

Nice to have options...

Some the anklebiters costumes are just too bloody cute.

Yeah, I am actually excited to see some of them, it's been awhile! We've decided to get a pumpkin and stay home to see all the outfits.

Have yourself a halloween spooktacular - if you decide to dress-up yourself, why not chose a famous 'person from history', who is 'dressing-up' for halloween - how would he/she have done it? Could be interesting - and fun

I haven't dressed up in quite some time and will prolly keep that tradition up... good idea tho! I like thinking outside of the box.
