Glorious Weekend

Man I adore my weekends. Really and truly I do! This one was no exception... Friday night I hung out with SB. We were supposed to celebrate the fact that she had ended her reign in the 7th circle of hell and was starting a new job on Monday, but instead Spike decided he wanted to go out for awhile... See, Spike ate a razor blade off of SB's infinity razor, which was in the shower. Apparently Spike is very resourceful. So SB made an emergency appointment at her vet's office and we took him in. We got to see pictures (X-rays) of the razor in Spike's belly and later on, on the way home from the vet, we got to watch him vomit all over the backseat and himself. It was a great start to the weekend though since puking was the end goal for getting the razor out of his belly.

We got back to SB's and reheated dinner and continued drinking wine. It ended up being a fine evening! :0)

Saturday was lazy to start... I met pal for lunch and then she came over for a little while. It was soooo good to see her!!! We had to laugh because she never even told me about the new jeep that she got in February... we need to keep in touch better!!! Later on that day, R and I had plans to go to Dunkin Donuts (I have been craving a boston cream like no other!), the library, and Trader Joe's. Well we skipped Dunkin because we weren't hungry and went to the library. It was 5:45, apparently the library closes at 5 on Saturdays. Bummer. We went to Trader Joe's and bought lots of yummy stuff. Good times!

We got home and started watching movies. This weekend I have seen Juno, Running with Scissors, Lars and the Real Girl, The Kite Runner, and Before the Devil knows your dead (or something like that).

I can honestly say that I HIGHLY recommend the Kite Runner. It was soooo heart wrenching at parts but man, the ending makes up for it... Then I found out that it's based on a true story, so WOW! Amazing! I highly recommend you all rent that one though. That was the best movie I have seen in awhile... However, if you are looking for light and fluffy, I would recommend Juno. That was a pretty good/funny movie! :0)

We made it to Dunkin and the Library on Sunday. I got two books out and I am excited about reading them. I told R that we are going to hafta make some nights reading nights instead of every night a TV night! :0)

And I am excited that I am leaving on a jet plane in 3 days. Thursday morning we are off! Destination - FUN! hehe

Oh, this morning I woke up to a fire truck and an ambulance outside my window. At first I was a bit worried - if a fire breaks out in one condo in my building it would certainly effect us, but then it seemed that it was more of a paramedic issue. They weren't around long though so hopefully it was a minor issue, whatever it was. Then I looked out my window about a half hour later and there was a tow truck. I was like seriously? Quite a busy morning outside my window! :0)

So anyways, here's to a tolerable Monday!

Sarge and Rigby are good. They're just not as much fun to blog about now that they are full grown kitty cats. But Sarge is still a crack up and an attention wh0re. They dislike my workout schedule because I'm not home much. But once I'm home they settle down and ignore me again. Too funny

HI Kristy, sorry I've been so busy. Glad you had a great weekend. Did the dog get the razor out? I'm worried about Judah, he started having a little diarrhea yesterday and he still has it this a.m. He's eating though and drinking water. I gave him some Immodium and ran and got him some Pepto Bismol, both things my vet told me will work. I'm hoping it isn't an intestinal parasite. That would be bad. Know anything good for this besides the usual?

I don't think I have ever watched that many movies in a month, let alone a weekend. We bought Juno and haven't gotten around to it yet. We did catch "Horton Hears a Who" (or is it Hoo?) last weekend. Pretty cute, if you're into that kind of thing.

Yay, a great weekend and Spike ended up okay. I read SB's blog over the weekend. Scary stuff. Glad that Sarge doesn't eat random objects - he just likes to chew on paper.

Wow Spike was one lucky guy that they didn't have to do surgery... Your weekend sounded nice, but they sure seem to fly by. For a Monday this one wasn't too bad, and it's almost time to do home so yea!!

Weekends really rejuvenate the spirit, don't they?
