I had managed to get out of the Netherlands for one weekend and I ended up down in Germany, with some folks I work with at the plant. They had rented a "cabin" at a golf resort for a week and invited us guys from the US to come for the weekend. So I said, "Why not?"
This is Cochem Castle in Cochem Germany.
Narrow street and the church steeple.
We were walking past this chruch and I heard organ music playing. I have a fasination with pipe organs, and when I saw that the small door on the side of the church was open, I slipped inside to listen. There was this 12-13 year old girl sitting there playing and it sounded awesome!
A stained glass window in the church. I don't know how they did this but I think they must have painted the images on to the glass to make it look like that.
A view from above Cochem Germany.
For the car entusiasts out there, you will no doubt notice the sign for the Nurburgring. This is a very famous road course race track. I really wanted to go there and drive the track (you can do that for 14 Euros) but I would be laughed at for driving a Ford Festiva Diesle Wagon on this track...
Being a typical male with a slightly stunted sense of humor, when I saw this sign on the Autobahn, I had to take a picture of it. I later figured out it roughly means "Exit"... Still makes me chuckle though.
A Ferari blowing past us on the Autobahn...
