I kinda wrecked myself last night.
I was sleeping and I woke up and needed to use the bathroom. Apparently my legs were not awake yet ‘cause I lost my balance and crashed into the doorway for the closet and then fell backwards on top of a large box fan. The plastic casing cracked and cut up my ribs a bit. But the worst is the bruised ribs under the scratches. I don’t remember banging my elbow on anything but that’s bruised up too. Oh well.
One More Job Applied For:
I applied for a job at the airport as an aircraft refueler. I talked to a guy that works there and he said he’d put in a good word for me, since I’m former Air Force and I used to refuel my jet several times a day for 3 ½ years… Not exactly a job skill that everyone will have already when applying for this job, I think.
The best part is the college I will be attending this August is literally next door to the Airport. So I won’t have to make multiple trips to different locations for school and a job. They are right there side by side!
I would much rather be in a medical setting for a job, but at least this should have fairly flexible hours so I can work around the school schedule. What would be even better is getting started working before school starts and be able to work the school schedule into the work schedule. Or vise-versa…
I have about two years of going to this college before I have to transfer to the private college for my Masters. If the pay is half-way decent I may be able to stick with the job straight through until I get the degree. Who knows?
Dancing With My Wife:
I don’t know if I have mentioned this or not but my wife and I have been taking dancing lessons every Monday for the last couple of months. Except for the Mondays of the Hunting & Fishing Assoc meetings and the Monday of the Handgun Permit Class, then I’m doing those things instead.
We started off trying to learn the waltz and that was a disaster. Apparently I have no feel for the 3 beat music of the waltz and ended up really mashing M’s toes. Sorry Honey!
So this month we have been working on the rumba. This has a 4 beat music and we have been really hitting it out of the park. Not once in the last three weeks have I stepped on her toes, and tonight she even wore open-toed shoes to the class. We need to practice some more here at home but we’re actually enjoying dancing together. Doing the waltz was… Painful, would be the best way to describe it!
Ok, I’m going to hit the sack, I’m tired.
