Gone But Not Forgiven ...

LeBum James, Akron resident, has flown the coup. The story is that movers are emptying his Akron mansion. He went to Miami after last nights televised grandstanding where he announced that he would play for the Heat.

Poor LeBum. He signs a 6 year deal and in six years Miami is going to be underwater. LOL

Good thing his house is being emptied because the rumor has it that a bunch of fans will burn it down tonight.

There are no longer any LeBum James #23 jerseys in Ohio. We burned them all last night. I was at a local bar and restaurant for a meeting and went back before 9 to have a drink with a friend. After LeBum announced he was leaving the Cavs, the bartender started the fire outside in the pit and he and several fans doffed their #23 jerseys and burned them.

Then somebody yelled "drinks all around on me!" And the party started.

Lebum will get to play with some talented players down there. But there are many more talented players around and coming along. Kobe Bryant is much better at the game than LeBum, and Kobe can at least act humble.

LeBron was here for 7 years and he leaves with no championship ring. He just is not as good as he thinks.

I can't wait to see the first football game. Now it is only 3 or 4 weeks away! Football, unlike NBA basketball, is a real team sport. The NBA players are all individual millionaire egos playing a little boy's game. It is no team sport.

O. U. football is the only sport for me. We bleed every time they fumble.

The whole charade was all rather pathetic. True, no championship in his 7 years, but think of all the great players (all sports) who never won a title. Team, team, team.

No need to worry about him.He is not with the Boston Celtics.
Getting over paid and still #####.They are never satisfied there.

This is a different era of sports, whereas the athletes of the past played for the sport..the game. Their modern day counterparts play for the money, and the corporate sponsorship, loyalty does not figure in the equation.

Please take him back--4 hours of PRIME TIME on ABC about 3 players making millions and millions of dollars plus endorsements and then a whole news report on them saying stupid things!! And then politicians have the nerve to ask citizens to pay for stadiums!

The sports philistine here says I have heard the name LeBron over recent news cycle and every time I have asked myself, who the f ... is that? Finally I know who he is and ... guess what? Ho Hum. I recommend this attitude to all you jersey burners.

I only own one sports jersey... Chris Spielmann, who was one of the original new Browns of 1999, the year we got our team back. He was great, and was an Ohio State linebacker - very popular here. After the first year he quit football because his wife had a serious illness, breast cancer or something like that. I will keep that jersey. As for 'whatshisname'... forget him.
