Saturdays ("Caturdays" to Hobbes) are usually days that I spend at home painting. Not today. Lots to do.
9:00 am - Out the door with an unfinished painting to take to SECOND SATURDAY, which is a thing we have at the Art Guild on the 2nd Saturday of each month where some members show up and critique or discuss what we are doing in art. But that doesn't start till 10. Go to bank. Get some cash from the ATM. Go to Rock Run Bulk Foods and get $20 in tickets for the Bascom Mutual Fire Department big fundraiser tonight at Meadowbrook Park in Bascom, the village that raised me. Go to McDonalds and get a large Senior coffee (65 cents!!!) to take to Second Saturday.
10:00 am - Go to the Tiffin Art Guild and unlock the doors, set up for the group. Check the walls for any art that members may have removed yesterday. Replace with other pieces. Get the info cards to take home to print out for the new artworks. Show my painting in progress, tentatively titled "Ghost Tree Point Near Pebble Beach." It is really coming together! 36" x 24"
After the Second Saturday thing - Drive to Autumnwood Care Center to visit with my Mom. Then return home, take the painting back up to my studio room. Get on computer and do the new wall cards for the replaced artworks in the gallery. Print and cut.
1:00 pm - Return to the gallery and unlock the doors for Elli, the Saturday volunteer. Stick the new cards next to the new artwork on the walls.
Return home and work on a web site proposal. Try to get in at least two hours in the painting studio. Feed cats dry food and give them fresh water.
5:00 pm - Pick up Uncle Jim and drive to Meadowbrook Park for the big annual bash where I get to see folks I usually only see once a year. It is like old-home-week when the have the fire department new equipment fundraiser. And there is a beer garden. Lots of beer and talk. Keep my eye on Uncle Jim so he doesn't overdo the beer thing.
Collect Jim and leave for home (Time undetermined.)
