I had hoped before my sweetie moved in that she would make herself comfortable and feel as if the castle is "our house" and her home. With tomorrow being Valentine's Day (or even if it wasn't), I was inspired by the project she did last weekend to take a look around and see how the place has changed.
We both have our computers in the living room, across from the wood stove, and it's been t-shirt weather in here even on the sub-zero nights. And of course, there's her knitting supplies. She keeps most of that stuff in her craft room, but the living room just wouldn't feel right to her if the project in progress wasn't close by. The current knitting project is a blanket for grand-baby #2. By the time that's finished it will be time to start on something for grand-baby #3, who herself is still a work in progress (although we do know it's a girl). But I digress.... this is material for Donna's blog (hint, hint, sweetie)!
I took the camera on the grand tour last evening and came up with a few shots... While not too feminine, this is a major addition to the former simplicity of the living room. I like it, although I feel sorry for the poor SOB who has to dust it....that would be..., well, you know...
I didn't have anything to do with the acquisition of this masterpiece. I just hung it, as instructed....
Well hells-bells, it's getting more feminine here... and yes, it's in the living room, and my area to dust.
She collects these.... They aren't all in one place any more, but these I don't see unless I go into the craft room. It's not off limits to Big Martian Hunks, but I don't go there often.
Ok, I'll admit it... The sheep are mine!
This hangs above the bed: I like it! It's inspirational, to say the least!
Another one from the bedroom...
From the master bathroom....
This shot features the project from last weekend. That table cloth and curtains was a hunk of material last Friday. I was with her when she bought the material--I like the color. She threatened to put lace on it, but for whatever reason, there's no lace.
And this post wouldn't be complete without a shot of my Venusian Goddess hard at work on the blanket. I don't think she even noticed me taking the pic (read: I'm dead meat when she sees it). Anyway, I love what you did to the place, Sweetie,
Happy Valentine's Day!
