New Camera

I had to buy a new camera after my Kodak bit the dust. Well, actually, it bit the stone front porch, but no matter, it was dead. The new one is an actual video camera: HMX F90 Samsung. I bought it as part of a package on Amazon. Included was the camera, a 57 inch tripod and a cleaning kit.

It's not a new model, it's been around for two years, and not two weeks after i got mine it was gone from Amazon. Not sure what that's about.

So anyway, The Samsung can do time lapse which the Kodak couldn't. People tend to video clouds and boats and other things that move slow, but instead I set my camera up to catch me cutting wood with a chainsaw.

It was an interesting experiment, but it got really entertaining when I added just the right music to it. And that's why I'm posting it. I run my mouth for 50 seconds or so, co be patient.

I love the setting, it is absolutely beautiful and the music was so
appropriate for that fast action. More please for all of us who
are dedicated to MyBloggers. You are getting an early start on wood!

I'd rather get it done sooner than later, but the garden and other things take up time this time of year. After 4C Camp for Adults in mid-August things will begin to slow down (read: I don't bother to weed the garden any longer).

Geez, I thought I replied to this but the comment is nowhere to be found on the page. The time lapse function is built into the camera. After that I use the youtube editor. They have made improvements to it over the years.

The camera itself recorded the video in time lapse 3 seconds at infinity. I also use the YouTube editor it's on to create on the manager videos tab on your own page. They have made many good improvements to it over the years and made it easier to use.

The cutting part really is no big deal. The work comes splitting it by hand with a6 pound the maul. It's rewarding work as the pile grows.

In most cases these days, the sites make it very simple to share content. All I did here was to go to the video, click share and then ember. I copied that code and posted it in my blog--no work at all--and there it is. Can't hurt to try!
