It's been almost three weeks since Benny's surgery and he has been free of the cone since the beginning of the week. I wanted to keep the cone in good condition just in case he needed it, but he doesn't. So we wanted to see how well Buster would do wearing it.
Benny did very well, but I had doubts about Buster that turned out to be justified. Fortunately he doesn't need to wear it.
The last frame is priceless--the way his long ears get wrapped around the base of the cone....

Cute dog. Bet he gets good "reception".
Buster is really a sweet kid -- he didn't get ballistic or growly. but he really wanted it off. Trust you accommodated him. Give him a hug from me.
Poor Buster! I didn't know about the soft collars. Rex got too freaked to
wear his.
wear his.
One of my cowgirl cousins made a 'cone' out of a good-sized ice cream bucket with slits cut in it and a dog collar threaded through. The dog actually looked pretty happy about it, but I think he was just glad that he got to ride shotgun in the truck.
I think we should try it on you!!!!!
Bless his heart. I was interesting how he went over to his crate and bed as if going to the Kings X safe zone would stop the humility. I wonder if when they really need it, they realize it and accept the cone better. Please give him a hug from me and tell him it's okay now. And then a hug to Benny so he doesn't feel left out.
that was priceless as you say.I did not realized that do not have you as my friend and just noticed this.I am sorry for this.Did you noticed that Benny was yawning?I think that he trying to talk to you.Buffy does this and we do get a squeak out of him.Good video I enjoyed it.Thanks for sharing.
awe, it's like K9 torture... he's adorable though! There are always soft Elizabethan collars as well. He's so cute!!!
