Her Knight in Shining Armor

...or Armour (for Marg). BTW, how DID a knitting blog get over 100,000 hits??? Hmmmm??? LOL

Quick observation on MyBloggers's current little crisis: I don't have an answer, but I DO know that I would miss this place a lot if, a) they started charging, or worse, b) it went away. :( I love you guys and really enjoy the interaction here, even if it IS decidedly left-leaning.
So....I'm trying to be my girl's knight in shining armor. While she's gone I'm trying to do all the things that a man does around the house. The broken window pane in the front door...replaced. Paint drippings and residue from 300 years ago on the bathroom walls...scraped off. Tape residue from some idiot's idea of weatherproofing the windows...scraped off. Well...mostly. Two to go, still. Today, the rectification of a gross moral wrong....the cabinets that were installed too high for even my tall gal...well, they're staying where they are since they belong to the landlord. However, I AM installing a freshly stained and varnished three section cabinet more for our level along another wall. Whoever thought the sky-high cabinets would be of any use should be taken out and shot. That's just plain wrong. I hope the landlord doesn't mind a few new holes along that wall. It's either that or a total remodel of the Denver-high set he installed who knows how long ago.
Hopefully, my gal will be surprised when she returns to our little nest. (If she doesn't read this post, that is.) I might even get a kiss out of the deal. LOL
Until later, thanks for stopping by!

What crisis? I didn't think I'd been gone THAT long.

Wish I had a "honey do", but have a company here ANNIE DOES WHAT HONEY DON'T, that I use for my honey do. My dear husband wasn't a homey-do either. So, I learned to do a lot myself. but the time has come thAt Nena can't.

We have several of those "honey-do's" here in Oklahoma--just in case you run out of something to do. I'm betting she will be thrilled to see how busy you have been.
