Well, the plans have been set. Thanks to my travel savvy younger brother, I've changed the hotel reservations for the first three nights of our honeymoon.
We'll fly from Baltimore into San Antonio and go directly to the Riverwalk. We were going to stay in a hotel near the airport, but my little bro said he thought it was an older property and not that nice. He helped me locate a really nice hotel on the river which fortunately still had vacancies, in spite of the breast cancer symposium that seems to have all the other Riverwalk hotels booked to capacity. We'll stay there for the first three nights and at a Drury property with a river view the last two nights. If we really like the first place we'll just cancel our reservation at Drury and stay put.
I've purchased tickets to see the Nutcracker at the Lila Cockrell Theater close to the river on Sunday, the 14th, in the afternoon. We've made no other plans. Perhaps we should, but I'd rather just play it by ear and enjoy the sights and sounds of the Riverwalk. I remember it being such a vibrant, exciting place.
Additionally, I've been convinced by a good friend that a cruise really is a wonderful get away. So, I've got my eye on a couple of cruises organized by Christian groups. Some of them are entertainment based with all-Christian artists like Southern gospel groups as well as some contemporary Christian groups. Both sound interesting, although I personally prefer the contemporary sound. They also organize romantic cruises just for couples which sound absolutely wonderful. So, that's a done deal. We just have to wait until more details are available in about a month.
Until later, there's your romantic fix, at least for a couple of days. LOL Thanks for stopping by!
