The Denver Skyline. Jennifer took this one while I drove:

We were listening to the news coverage of the theatre massacre as we drove by the exit for Aurora. The senseless tragedy of it all saddens and infuriates me.
We loved the sand dunes, although we only spent less than an hour there. I was fascinated by the process of how they were created and maintained by wind, water and gravity. An areal view of it reminds me of a sandbox in the corner of a backyard somewhere. I'll spare you the explanation of how it came to be and how it is self-renewing.

Here's another shot of them without the distraction of the lovely ladies!

New Mexico's terrain is beautiful in a rugged way. At least the part we saw of it is. Those mountains with all the holes in them amaze me. I'm going to Google that and see what caused all those holes. The interesting color in all the layers are neat. Sante Fe is a beautiful city! Of course, my love affair with stucco, Spanish style architecture has never ended. If I'm ever able to custom build a home, I'm sure that will play a major role in the design of it. Stucco and black, wrought iron. It never gets old for me.

All the mesas and buttes were beautiful in differing degrees of sunlight . Just driving through there was a treat. I've heard other parts of New Mexico are quite ugly and rough. Fortunately, the part was got to see was every bit as beautiful as these pictures show and then some.
We returned home to 100+ temperatures and a yard that has been practically burned up. The okra, however, if flourishing!
I have a job interview tomorrow. Wish me luck!
More later. Cheerio!
