A member of my knitting group once owned a knitting store, so her garage is filled with yarn and other supplies. When someone in our group needs a project they often go to her. Are you approaching that point where you might have to resell some of your stock? I usually need to go to town to buy what I need as I do each project and when I do see yarn that I love, I'm too nervous to buy it for an unknown project. We went to Port Townsend this weekend and I visited the yarn store there and they had lots of local roving available as well as other beautiful yarns. Only bought a set of bamboo needles.
What an ambitious project! But it will look great when its finished.
Angel sure likes to get into the most unusual places. Maybe you should make her a cat bed of plastic bags. My eye is okay except I still see flashing lights. Apparently, as you age the vitreous fluid changes from jelly to liquid and that's what's causing the light show. Who would have known???
Snow has finally reached our island. We thought we were luckily because it kept missing us but this morning we have a blizzard outside the window and its -4 degrees and windy. I think this will be a day to stay indoors, except I may have to go outside to shake snow off some of the plants. Sorry to hear about the hip. Isn't is a drag when your aches and pains interfere with your walks? Take care.
Much better. I didn't realize that one of your rooms is a library.
I haven't noticed that in the theatre we usually go to in Vancouver but of course I'm sure we pay much more for our tickets than you. Also, the vancouver theatres still think that you must be 65 to be a senior.
How was the movie? Every time we go to the city, we think about going to a movie but we always seem too busy. Have you read The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo? That's a movie I'd like to see. I saw the Swedish version and would like to see the American version to compare.
These resolutions should be achievable.
Merry Christmas to you and DH. I've learned that vacationing in December makes it difficult to finish all my Christmas preparations. I did not baking and we sent no cards or our annual letter. Since we didn't return home until Dec. 23rd, I only managed to do minimal decorating. This was our first Christmas alone since the ill-fated trip to Arizona when Dad had the car accident and Mum broke her arm. Maybe you and DH should have joined Mum and nursekim for Christmas this year. I hope you enjoyed your quiet Christmas. PS You have another beautiful tree.
I had lots of trouble posting photos until Nittineedles sent me some instructions. Ask her to help you the next time she is in town.
It does make you wonder what the story is behind a house like this one. I'll have to take a look when I next visit Mum. PS Tartan enjoys his walks even if he is old and can't go far. Thanks.
its funny (not) that some people can take such good care of their house and yard but forget the roof. Maybe you should invite them over and they could sit at your table and see for themselves.
I'm not sure that this is a group that you want to belong too if they get so hung up over innocent comments. I would quickly drop out of these types of negative dialogues. Chin up!
I can't even imagine trying to dress up a cat. Meow, spit, scratch. The animals in these photos must be on drugs.
OMG! These poor dogs. Tartan only get "dressed" once with deer antlers (at Christmas not Halloween) and he wasn't too happy about being made to look ridiculous. Some dogs do have their pride.
