Great photos and record of his visit. It looks like everyone enjoyed getting together. DS is one of those lucky people who looks good when photographed.
I bought a ceramic yarn bowl at the Christmas craft fair last year. Then a few months ago I was using it and when I pulled the yarn, the bowl fell on the floor and broke in half. Bummer.
Beautiful. You do such amazingly fine work. How do you keep you eyes from getting tired?
Why wasn't I invited????? My Newcomers Group went for a tour of the alpaca "farm" last Wednesday but I missed it because I had a phlebotomy appointment in Victoria. I heard afterwards that the owner will be opening up to the public and selling alpaca stuff soon. Isn't that worth a visit to Pender?
Glad to see that you are back at the market. Too bad the nice weather couldn't have stayed one more day, but there will be nicer days ahead and then more customs as well.
You would love the store Dressew in Vancouver. It has an incredible array of buttons and at affordable prices too. Very cute sweater.
Hope your trip to the hospital went well and you found a place to park. I know what you mean about drawing straight lines with shaky hands. Sometimes my eyeliner looks like it was applied by a drunken sailor.
The blood is tossed and it seems like such a waste when the people sitting across the ward are having bags of blood put into them. The nurses always take my blood pressure before and after the procedure. This time my BP was high at first and I told the nurse it was from the stress of searching for somewhere to park the car since the lots were all full.
Forgot to mention - the scarf looks great. How does it look on?
Did you see that the Prairies and East are having warm weather now? We were without power for over 13 hours on Monday but on a positive note that kept me off the computer and gave me lots of knitting time. Yah! Today we are off to Victoria for my phlebotomy. I'll be taking my knitting along for the ride.
I may be too late to vote but I also prefer 2 and 3 and I think the detail is clearest along the bottom portion of 3. Beautiful work!
I didn't see this event at Vancouver's 2010 Olympics but maybe they are saving it for the London Olympics this summer.
Our feeder is similar to your and it attracts lots of different birds but mainly small varieties. It takes awhile for the birds to discover the feeder but once they do, you can't refill it fast enough.
I got lots of wear this winter from my hand knit socks. Mum knit two pair and I knit one. I also knit a pair for the husband but his remain in a bag and he has never worn them. Next winter I'll start wearing them as well.
Great job! and I'm sure the older ladies will love the shawls.
