Beautiful tree!!! Our maple is also spectacular this year. Husband took a close-up photo of the leaves and I think it looks good enough to frame.
Love the shoes. No more excuses for taking a daily walk.
Good friends of mine have gone to Yellow Point for a week in August for more than the past 20 years. When they are leaving each year, they book for the next summer. They obviously love staying there (usually in a cabin) and said the meals are fabulous (home cooking style).
Thanks for including me in your life cycle (buy yarn, knit, give gift). The mini-wheel is adorable. Its amazing some of the things that Kim manages to find. Glad to see that your 2011 sales are doing so well.
Good luck with your sales and hope you don't get too chilly. We are off today to the San Juans for my birthday trip. The forecast here is for rain and strong winds. Yuck! I've made sure to pack warm and dry wear and hope our B&Bs are cozy.
I've loved all the photos and commentary about your trip east. I think its remarkable that you can get DH to visit all these yarn mills and shops. I feel very lucky if husband is willing to visit one scrapbooking store on a trip. We haven't been out to the Maritimes for almost 30 years but from the look of things we should be considering a trip there soon. We were there in the fall (October) and it was very hard to find B&Bs. Many had closed for the season in September and those that were still open were booked up by tour groups doing the Fall Colours tours. Next time we'll book more things in advance.
It must be something in our genes since I do the same thing. Its always surprising however when the clerk doesn't acknowledge your honesty.
Since you like cats, then you would love Rome. The city is crawling with them. We stopped to look at a ruin and it had become home to a cat colony. If you'd been there, I'm sure your photos would have concentrated on the cats instead of the architecture.
These are hilarious (I mean the cartoons) and reflect husband's recent trip to San Diego - delays at the airport caused him to miss connections, another plane delayed due to medical emergency, cost of upgrades that weren't available, luggage arriving a day late . . .
Sorry to see that you didn't feel well during my visit. I certainly hope you didn't find that I was stressful overnight company. I try not to be. I love the photo of your basket. Mine is in the livingroom and full of my current knitting projects. I found some patterns for a ribbon scarf. A couple are called drop stitch knit and I can either include worsted wool or not. Now that I've conquered the photo thing I'll be able to show you when I finish something.
Yippee! Another successful market. I was showing a friend my Lambert on Saturday and she said she'd love to have one. Could I put in an order? Her birthday isn't until October.
Its great that you have found a way to celebrate your recovery from that awful night. Treating yourself is always a good idea. I haven't explored Qualicum or Parksville for quite awhile, so I should try to include a trip there on my next visit to Nanaimo.
I was at a party last week and when I told a fellow that my husband was from Finland, he said "oh yes, that's the place with the volcano and moon-like landscape". I said "no you are describing Iceland" and he said "aren't they almost the same". Obviously, geography wasn't his specialty.
My camera has image stabilizing as well and its wonderful for people like us with shaky hands. Now only a few of my pictures turn out blurry - hum!
Your set-up is looking very professional. Too bad there aren't more shoppers, but at least the cost to have a table isn't too high. I've started collecting dog hair and K has set up an appointment for T to be groomed on Thursday. I'll ask him to see if the groomer will collect the hair after she's done.
