A Bugg Position Paper: Part 1

Good Morning Fellow Greasers:

With all the speechifying going on on the campaign trail and folks ranking each other out about who gives speeches and who has solutions, I thought I'd just recap, for many who are unfamiliar with the Bugg Campaign, my stands on some of the issues of the day.

The Iraq War: End it NOW. We never should have gotten into it in the first place. There was no proof that a)Iraq had anything to do with 9-11 and b) that they had any weapons of mass destruction. Nations have the right to choose their own leaders and form of government. If they want to live under the rule of a murdering, dictatorial asshole, then let them; if not they can rise up and overthrow the bastid on their own. Its been done(i.e. the French Revolution, the Russian Revolution, and our own Revolution). Forced democracy is no longer democracy. And too, democracy itself is a novel concept that many in the Third World do not understand has they have not had centuries of experience with representative government. I'm all for giving people the opportunity to choose. You present our form of government and theirs. They can compare and choose. The war is, in addition, a useless money gulping boondoggle that is not only bankrupting our nation, It costs about $720 million per DAY or about $2billion a WEEK to pursue this. Your average Habitat For Humanity house cost about $60,000 to build. You do the math. Not to mention it is wasting the lives of the flower of our youth. So many fine young people being sacrificed so Halliburton and these other shit companies can make a ton and so Dubya Dumbass can get a hard-on.

Immigration: I'm all for LEGAL immigration. That's what made this country great. Illegal immigration on the other hand must be stopped. Round up all illegals and ship them back to whereever they came from. Impose heavy fines, prison terms and confiscation of assets on employers who hire undocumented workers. Give tax breaks for those who hire legal immigrants and American workers. Fine or imprison those who rent to or otherwise harbor these people. Build a 2,000 mile razor wire electrified fence. This will cost about $851 million (with electric, add $362 million). Hire 10,000 more border patrol agents(average salary $60,000 per year). As you can see, for what we spend per month on the war, we can make some real progress on controling immigration. In addition we can take the troops that are currently serving in Iraq and put them to patroling the border and our sea ports. This, my friends, is where the real security threat to our country lies. This is NOT a racial thing, as some whine ass jerks will accuse. I don't give a rat's ass if we got hordes of SWEDES coming over here illegally. Send them packing too. It is a question of law not ethnicity. In no other country on earth can you just waltze across the border and squat. Most times you will either be arested, shot or both. We must inforce our laws. If you don't like the laws, become a citizen the right way and change them. I don't blame the immigrants themselves. Its only natural to want to come to America to have a better life. But do it legally. Then I for one will welcome you with open arms.

Abortion: People should have the right to choose wheather or not to carry a pregnancy to term. The government should not be telling you that you must. Abortion is a horrible thing. I personally would not have one but who am I to tell someone else what to do with their own bodies. The religious consequences of this are between the person and God. Only He can judge. I, nor any other human being, cannot. The decision to have this procedure is a heart rending one. I know a few people who have elected to do this and they have told me that they are haunted by their decision 20-30 years later. But we need to take care of the kids who are already here, not force somebody who was too stupid to prevent a preganancy to have a kid only to abandon it in a dumpster or abuse it. And make no mistake, abortions are gonna happen wheather they are legal or not. I'd rather have women feeling they can go to a clean, properly equiped hospital rather than to some back alley butcher with a coat hanger.

Outsourcing of jobs/importing foriegn workers: No more tax breaks for those companies who take jobs offshore. In fact, a heafty tax increase should make it more profitable to keep jobs here so Americans can fill them. Tax incentives for foriegn companies who open facilities here. If you sell it in America, you should make it in America. Companies would be permitted to import foriegn workers only if the local labor pool is exhausted i.e. no welfare recipients or other slackers on the dole to fill the jobs. There is no sense in importing workers from God knows where and paying them substandard wages when there are Americans who go begging for work or shiftless creeps sitting around on their asses collecting subsidies for nothing.

Public Education: Do away with the school voucher nonsense. If you want to and can afford to send yer kid to a private school, more power to ya. But not on the taxpayer's dime. It makes no sense to use tax money on private school when public schools go begging. Improve public eduation so that it is as good as or better than private school. Bring discipline back so teachers are not afraid to teach. Stop these idiotic frivilous lawsuits by asshole parents because their precious litte snowflake got his/her/its feelings hurt. Public schools today are little more than warehouses for juvenile delinquents. We've got to get a grip, get some discipline, teach the basics, make sure every child knows how to at least read, write and do math before issuing the little dirt bag a diploma. Our children should be our most important priority. A decent public education should be their birthright.

Raising Minimum Wage: Its high enough right now. Instead of raising the minimum wage, reduce the witholding tax on people's checks. Let them keep more of what they make. That way, they get more money without raising wages and the subsequent price hikes that will come from businesses having to compenstate.

Health Insurance: Every American should have health coverage. Give employers tax incentives to cover their workers. If they don't, the government should assist in paying for a private insurance plan. Premium reductions if you stay healthy and out of the hospital.

I realize some of these positions are not gonna be popular. And if you disagree, I will certainly understand. This is America, land that I love. And we, as citizens, all have the right to civily disagree. Like my old daddy always said, opinions are like assholes; everybody's got one.

I still want the Ambassador's spot for Cuba, when you open up relations. By the way, I want the embassy right next to the Partagas cigar factory, just across the street from the Rum distillery. I don't speak Spanish but I beat a wild conga drum.

As your future Secy. of Education, I have to say that I agree with you 100%, otherwise I don't get the job! Actually I do agree with you!

I want to hear about the positions your upstairs neighbors have seen you in have talked about and what they have seen through their peephole in their floor (when they aren't running water so you can't take a warm shower!) And what's your position on dealing with such people!

Bang on!
1. Corporations who close down here and open up overseas should pay an import duty on their goods equal to the loss of income from the people they fired or laid off here. The government should use the money to pay unemployment and retrain the workers.
2. Churches or any religious groups who publicly espouse political positions or endorse candidates should lose their tax-exempt status.
3. Part of every Presidential inauguration should include the new President getting on his or her knees and kissing the ass of somebody whose pension was cut by the banking/corporate/lawyer bunch in a corporate bankruptcy settlement.

Luv ya!
