Hey Gee, The vehemence in your response to my last comment here leads me to believe that you misunderstood what I was saying. The "stereotyping" I spoke of had to do with people pre-judging YOU, not you pre-judging others. Chill, kid!
"Trailer Trash" do not exclusively live in trailer parks. Funny, but most of the folks I know who live in trailer parks are decent, respectable, caring people. Stereotypes can do so much damage!
Some of the greatest literature ever written, with the possible exception of Sex by Madonna, is on this list! When I was a literature teacher, I was once brought up in front a board of inquiry for continuing to teach "The Catcher In The Rye," "Huckleberry Finn" (which, in my opinion, is the greatest American Novel ever written), "to Kill A Mockingbird" and "The Grapes of Wrath" - all of which were on the school district's "forbidden list". Even after being chastised, I never stopped teaching those books. Censorship turns my stomach.
Take care of yourself. Strep is nothing to scoff at. I've had it a few times, and I know that it is not only the worst sore throat that a person can possibly imagine, but it also saps the entire body of energy. Listen to your bod, drink lots of warm fluids, and get plenty rest!
Here in CT the weather has been cool too! GREAT sleeping weather! We've turned off the A/C, turned on the ceiling fan over the bed, and opened the windows wide!
I think I would have puked. No. In all honesty, I KNOW I would have puked!
Wow! Every once in while, I have to remind myself to breathe through my nose. I also have to remind myself that I cannot fix everything that appears to be broken. Thoughts like these, and about a quart or so of Capt. Morgan, seem to take the edge off from time to time.
Strider has commented since you posted this, and a darned good one too. I don't think eky reads my blog.
I must admit, Sunni, that I was one who would have had a hard time voting for Hillary, just because I view her as insincere and power hungry. (I think she would have said and done anything to get elected. But that's just my opinion.) However, with McCain telling half-truths and just plain out-and-out lying to the people, I think I would vote for ANYBODY rather than him! Saw a great bumper sticker on my way to Maine yesterday. It said, "McCain - Bush's third term in office."
I'll never make this stuff! It's full of INGREDIENTS, for God's sakes!

Did you know that China put off the opening of the Summer Olympics until today because "8" is considered to be a lucky number by the Chinese?
Well, old man, you brought tears to THIS old man's eyes just now. (And it's not 3 A.M.) I have four children, and none of them are my biological children. Two were adopted when they were 5 and 9 by me and my first wife. The others came into my life when I married Mary. I too never tried to take the place of Mary's kids' father. I too am always quietly flattered when they refer to me as "Dad." I am SO SORRY for you loss, Grumpy!
When Erin, my daughter, takes Alyssa and Lainey, the grand girls, on a trip for the weekend, Grandma and I miss them something horribly! I can't imagine the pain that you are going through, Buggs! My heart goes out to you!
Avon is a well respected company that has been in business forever. My wife uses a lot of their products too. I could be fun if you get along with people. Have a good time, and good luck!
Wow! What a great feeling it musthave been (and still is) to have so many people care about you so much!
