Avon Brochures

I am always on the look out for ways to make a little extra cash, be it online surveys, ebay,selling my handmade cards and the like. Well recently I have been looking into doing something else without having to get a formal job. The one thing I thought I could fit around the kids and family life was door to door catalogue drops. I looked into Kleeneze, Betterware and Avon. Two of them require more of a time and financial commitment than I am prepared to give right now so the most suitable option for me looks to be Avon.
With no financial outlay upfront and any admin costs comming out of commission earned over a fex campaigns it looked like it was going to work for me. The area manager visited me on tuesday and dropped off my first 20 books (I get another 20 next week) do deliver and see how I get on. I have been allocated my own patch of 125 houses (within a 5 minute walk from home) plus I am able to sell to friends and family as well. I go back out tomorrow morning to collect the brochures and see what orders (if any) I have received. I have also written out my next lot of order forms so that when I collect my 20 books I can refill the bags and post on again to some more of my houses. I also emailed family and friends to see if there were any takers. Out of 15 emails I have had 4 replies and all 4 would like a book....so there is hope that I will make my first commission target in my first campaign.
Each campaign runs for three weeks so it is up to me how many of the books I distribute but I think if I manage to work with 35 books for the doors and keep 5 to circulate around friends etc I should be able to cover every address on my patch every campaign. There are several other bonuses too for new reps. If I earn £250 sales during my first two campaigns I will receive some products to use as testers etc. Plus for the next few campaigns there are other bonuses too. Which means that at the end of 6 months I will hopefully have a lasge supply of sample and trial products that I would be able to hold an Avon party at home and hopefully attract more custom that way too.
The fact that I am going to have three trips to school daily means that there is plenty of opportunity for me to swing by my area and deliver/collect brochues and orders.
I am due to collect my first 20 books tomorrow and the predicted conversion rate is 1:3 so fingers crossed for around 7 orders.
In other news....
We looked at our dream house the other week and are still waiting for the surveyer to come and value ours so that we can get an idea if we are going to be able to afford the house. But get this.....yesterday, on my way back home from a dental appointment with the kids, in the pouring rain, I spotted a soggy letter on our wall. It must have been dropped by postie. But this letter had " to the occupier of THE HOUSE WE WERE LOOKING AT" on the front!! Is that a sign do you think? Are the powers that be shining upon us and letting me know that the house is within our grasp. Oh Gawd I hope so it is just brilliant. Not that there is anything wrong with here...we did think it was our forever house till we viewed the new one!!
