After viewing what we now see as our forever house last weekend, we have decided to give it a go. But this means we now have to get ours valued, tarted up a little and get it on the market. Sit tight, hope it gets lots of interest and the dream home gets no more!
I am hoping that the sking price for the other house isn't too far off the value of ours. As long as the difference is no more than £25K I think we will be in a position to do something anything more and it will just stretch us too much to move.
One thing I like about the other house is that it has a massive garage and driveway. Which I thought I would use to hold a garage sale (I was planning a car boot sale at the beginning of the summer but just haven't gotten my finger out) to sell our crap that we no longer use but don't want to just give away!
I think both DH and myself have our hearts set on this other house - it is just perfect. Although it needs decorating it has all the extra space that our current home doesn't have without doing major building work on the place. Never before have I gotten so excited about a place. I don't know if it is because at theis current moment it is so far out of our grasp it is nothing more than a dream. The feeling of dreaming and aspiring to something really gets my spirits up and keeps me motivated and focussed on what I want to achieve.
All this aside - the house is ours! Until the forsale sign comes down and we realise that we cannot afford it or have been beaten on price then it will (in my head atleast) be our house.
