Be Safe Tonight

May the Good Lord be with you this New Year
May the Sun be in your face and the wind at your back.

I hope you all have a good New Year. As for me-no party or celebrations. I learned a long time ago this is the one night not to be out and about.
Think about it-tonight you will have the guy (or lady) who has not had a drink all year long, but tonight all bets are off. Then about 2am after consuming a pot of coffee or so will think they can drive home. Nope the grump will safe at home in his little bed.
So if you are going out there, have fun-just be safe.

We stayed home and lit a few fire works (rockets and fountains, etc.) and watched the distant city across the bay. 15 miles away, we could hear the dull roar of the fireworks. There were about 350 injuries this year, including a couple of fatalities from people shooting their small arms in the air. (Ammo is cheaper than fireworks, I guess.)

I never go out on New Years! Every idiot on Earth is out there and they think because the have four wheel drives they can drive any which way. Better to be safe and Ra wants his carbonated grape juice. Happy New Year my friend. Love ya lots!!

It sounds like most of us chose to stay in. Better safe than sorry.

As an old friend of mine used to say, "This is amateur night!" I'll be staying in as well. Happy New Year, Grump. Talk with you next year.

Amateur night has no appeal to me. The "holidays" are over as far as I'm concerned. The Christmas stuff is back in the closet, and it's time to move on. The days are getting longer and I'm already thinking about what kind of seeds to start for summer! Happy New Year!

we are staying put.A nice dinner with movies.
Just the two of us.Never go out on the eve of the New Year.
For me make no sense in staying up late and getting buzzed.
Who want to watch Dick Clark ringing in the New Year,he should be ringing in the old one.Happy New Year Grumpy.
You are wise in staying in.Think that a lot of people are doing this.
Now if you get a buzzed from drinking that is the same as being drunk.
No buzz.Be safe.Get a DDriver to take you home.
