Some body I have never written about is my nephew Phil.
About 1969 or so my Uncle Jack returned from Vietnam (Cambodia) to San Francisco. At the time he was a Command Sergeant Major in the Air force.
As soon as he returned he resigned from the Air Force, signed divorce papers, and went to work for a private contractor (read CIA). In less than 36 hours he was on his way back to South East Asia. He then served our country in places that we were never there.
While he was in Asia he meet and married a wonderful woman from Thailand and brought her home to America.
Why the history lesson?
Well they had a son they named Philip.
Phil decided to join the United States Army.
Phil has gotten married and now has started his own family.
Phil has also served in both Iraq and Afghanistan.
Phil was able to rotate after a years tour from Afghanistan back to the States.
The best part--He and his wife and child showed up on his moms and dads porch unannounced Christmas Eve.
